Richard M. Steenland
City Clerk Rich Steenland, a lifelong Roseville resident, grew up the son of a Roseville Police Officer and stay at home mother; parents Joseph & Darlene raised seven children in which they strongly instilled the importance of Family, Community, Church and Country. Rich and wife Catherine have three children.
Rich Steenland was first elected to the City Council in 1993; in 2005 he was unanimously elected Mayor Pro Tem by the Mayor and City Council and in 2007 was elected City Clerk. City Clerk Steenland is an Accredited City Clerk through the State of Michigan and currently Vice-President of the Macomb County Clerks Association.
City Clerk Steenland began his education at Arbor Elementary, Burton Junior High & graduated from Carl Brablec High School in 1979; he continued his education and was awarded an Associate’s Degree from Macomb County Community College and attended Oakland University. Rich is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Solanus Casey Council, The Roseville Optimist Club, The Roseville Scholarship Foundation, the Macomb County Clerks Association and is a parishioner at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church.
