Rate Descriptions

Water ~ Cost of water that the City of Roseville Purchases from City of Detroit.

LOM ~ Costs for the City of Roseville to maintain our water lines and provide water to customers. For example: salary and wages, line maintenance and improvements. Prior to July 2002, these costs were included in the water and sewer charges and not separately stated.

Sewer Treatment ~ Cost of sewage that the City of Roseville is charged by The Southeast Sanitary District.

Ready to Serve Charge ~ A flat rate charge per billing cycle to cover fixed operational costs of the Water Department.

Stormwater System Utility Fee (SWSUF) - This charge covers the cost, passed on to us by Macomb County, to treat the water that flows through our stormwater system and the costs to maintain the drain system based on county and state guidelines. The cost is based on the impervious area of your property which is the area that allows stormwater runoff,  i.e., roof, driveway, sidewalk, etc.

The size was determined by Macomb County GIS (Geographic information system).

Important Notice

Payments must be received by the due date, to avoid late fees. Accounts that are 30 days delinquent are subject to disconnection. If your water has been shut off for non-payment, a $40 reconnect fee must be paid along with the delinquent balance before the water service will be restored.

Any check returned from your bank, unpaid, will be assessed a $40 returned check fee. To ensure proper credit to your account, please write your account number on your check. For your convenience, you can enroll in our Automatic Bill Payment plan. This will allow us to automatically deduct your water bill from your bank account.
