When are current taxes considered delinquent?

All current taxes turn delinquent to the County the day after their due date.

Current taxes can be paid to the City after the due date with an additional penalty of 1% per month until the next season's due date.

Summer taxes become delinquent September 1st earning 1% interest each month until paid.  If taxes are not paid by February 28th of the following year, they are sent to Macomb County as a delinquent tax lien for that tax year.
